ISLAMABAD: The spokesperson Foreign Office (FO) said that it is being considered bringing the accused in the Arshad Sharif murder case to Pakistan.
The FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra during the weekly briefing said that the country has been willing of friendly ties with Kenya and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
She said that FO has been considering sending a delegation to raise the matter of Arshad Sharif’s killing before the Kenyan government. “It is also being considered to maintain telephonic coordination between both countries over the matter.”
Mumtaz Zahra further said that instructions are being forwarded to the Pakistani commission in Kenya to expedite the probe into the matter and various other options are also being considered to bring justice for Arshad Sharif.
Moreover, Pakistan is considering the option to bring the accused in the case to the country for investigations adding that an application has also been submitted to the UAE for assistance in evidence gathering and legal aid.
While reassuring the support of FO in the probe into Arshad’s killing, she said that FO is also considering other legal options to bring the investigation to a conclusion.
