KASHMIR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has congratulated Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Tanveer Ilyas on his success in Azad Kashmir local government (LG) elections.

Imran Khan shared a message on Twitter in this regard and said that PTI won the local body elections despite the biased Election Commission.

Pertinently, PTI has been celebrating the lead by securing 229 local councils (LC) seats followed by independent candidates securing 199 seats in the second phase of local government (LG) elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held on Saturday.

According to official results announced by the AJK Election Commission on Sunday evening, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) managed to take the third position by securing 129 seats, while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) got 104 seats in the Poonch division of AJK.

In the first phase of the AJK local bodies elections held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on November 27 (Sunday), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won 33 District Council seats.
