The tariff has been reduced on account of fuel cost adjustments (FCAs)...
ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a reduction in power tariff of Rs 7.43 per unit for K-Electric (KE) consumers.
The reduction has been announced on account of fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for November 2022.
The development came on a petition filed by the Central Power Purchasing Agency-Guarantee for the monthly fuel adjustment (MFA).
The decision would provide a relief of Rs10.61 billion to the power consumers, said Nepra.
Earlier in November, NEPRA lowered the tariff by Rs2.15 per unit for K-Electric consumers.
The tariff was reduced on account of fuel cost adjustments for October 2022. The power regulator said that the relief will not apply to lifeline customers.
According to the NEPRA notification, the K-Electric consumers got relief of Rs3.59 billion.
