RAWALPINDI: Four terrorists were killed in an Intelligence Based Operation conducted by security forces in Jani Khel area of Bannu district.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and conducted a successful operation.
The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens. Weapon and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists, the military’s press wing said.
During intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Muhammad Wasim having fought gallantly embraced martyrdom. The ISPR said that sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
Earlier this month, Pakistan Army troops and law-enforcement agencies conducted an operation after terrorists stormed the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) centre in Bannu.
COAS General Syed Asim Munir had visited CMH Rawalpindi and met officers and soldiers who got injured during the operation.
The army chief had appreciated their high spirits and morale and lauded their professionalism during the operation against the terrorists.
Pakistan Army Spokesperson Major General Ahmed Sharif had said that security agencies in a successful operation had killed 25 terrorists, arrested three whereas seven terrorists had surrendered.
