Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders have expressed concerns over the statements of former finance minister Miftah Ismail against the party leadership, sources revealed to BOL News.

Miftah Ismail has been a vocal critic of the economic policies of the government ever since he was ousted as finance minister in September last year.

He has also clashed with his successor Ishaq Dar who assumed charge of the finance ministry after returning from abroad after five years.

Sources revealed that senior PML-N leaders have expressed reservations over Miftah’s statements against the party’s leadership. They urged PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to issue Miftah Ismail a show cause notice for violating party policy.

It has been revealed that PML-N leaders have also reservations about PML-N leader and former Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair.

The PML-N leaders have complained with Shehbaz Sharif and said that Muhammad Zubair should also clear his position. They said Zubair should step down as the spokesperson for PML-N senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz.

Sources revealed that PML-N have also expressed concern that Zubair may have funded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). They said that Zubair’s brother Asad Umar is senior PTI leader and he has also close connections.  The complained that the PML-N should take action for not adhering to party guidelines.

Miftah Ismail recently slammed Ishaq Dar and said that he was removed as finance minister in and did not want to resign.

He claimed that Ishaq Dar ran campaigns against him for more than six months as he could not tolerate someone else from the party as finance minister.  He also claimed that the finance minister asked anchors to tweet against him and host TV shows.

The PML-N leader said Dar is closer to Nawaz Sharif because his son is married to Nawaz’s daughter and was with him in London. Ismail said that Dar gave the impression on reducing the dollar rate and price of petrol after taking charge.

Miftah added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was satisfied with his performance and did not want to replace him. He said the manner in which was removed was not respectful.
