Sanaullah will brief Nawaz about political situation  in London

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah Khan left for London on Wednesday on a private visit.

He will have an important meeting with Party Quaid and former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in London

Rana Sanaullah is also the President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Punjab. The interior minister left for London from Islamabad International Airport by a private flight.

Rana Sanaullah will brief the party leader on important issues including the overall political situation of the country.

It is pertinent to mention here, the Punjab Assembly dissolution came as a setback for PML-N and the party is allegedly facing problems in the absence of senior leadership as Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Hamza Shahbaz are in London. Therefore, it is feared that PML-N may suffer a major dent in upcoming elections if senior leadership does not return to Pakistan.

PML-N Supreme leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sought his party’s recommendations for his and his daughter Maryam Nawaz’s return to Pakistan.

It seems that Nawaz Sharif’s prolonged absence has resulted in a series of political defeats for PML-N. The party’s vote bank has also deteriorated, that too in Punjab which used to be PML-N’s stronghold.

It is being reported that local PML-N members believe that the situation in Punjab could have been different if the senior party leadership was in Pakistan. However, the PML-N senior leadership is expected to meet in a day or two to elaborate on recommendations for the return of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.

Meanwhile, the former prime minister has summoned a report over the failure of the PML-N Punjab in barring Parvez Elahi from getting the house’s vote of confidence. Following the success of CM Parvez Elahi in getting vote of confidence from the Punjab Assembly, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, senior vice president of PML-N got furious over provincial leadership.
