Sibi explosion: Jafar Express derailed, several injured

SIBI: An explosion occurred on the railway track near the Sibi area of Balochistan due to which eight bogies of Jafar Express derailed.

According to the details, the explosion took place between Peshi and Panir railway stations due to which the engine of Jafar Express was destroyed and fell into the ditch while eight coaches were also badly affected.

Initially, there are reports of injuries to several passengers due to the explosion and an emergency has been imposed by the administration.

Rescue officials have been trying to pull the people stuck in the bogies and a relief train and rescue personnel have been dispatched to the scene of the accident.

On the other hand, DC Bolan Agha Samiullah confirmed that eight people are injured and maintained that the rescue teams are facing difficulties due to the mountainous terrain.

“Emergency has been imposed in the hospitals and the injured ones are being rushed to the hospitals of Mach and Quetta.”
