LAHORE: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has written a letter to all the judges, including the Chief Justice (CJ), on the issue of unverified audio and video leaks.
According to the details, a detailed letter has been sent to all the judges of the Supreme Court, including the Chief Justice of Pakistan, on behalf of the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf regarding the issue of remediation of unconfirmed audio/video leaks that have come to the fore one after the other.
In the letter, Imran Khan requested the Chief Justice and honorable judges to take steps to protect the fundamental rights under the Constitution, especially the right to privacy of the citizens under Article 14, along with appointing the constitutional petition filed by Imran Khan in October last year for an urgent hearing in this regard.
The PTI chief has also put the eight most important questions before the Chief Justice and judges regarding the matter.
He said that the audio/videos coming to the public contain unauthenticated content, these audio/videos are created by hacking and cutting and other fake methods including deepfake.
