ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has filed a new petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) requesting to be allowed to appear on the video link in all Islamabad cases.

The petition filed by PTI said that due to security concerns court proceedings are also stalled.

A request is also made in the petition that all the cases to be conducted in the Judicial Complex. Meanwhile, the Police are also to be ordered to provide full security during the court appearances of Imran Khan.

Orders should be given to provide security on the motorway highway as well, the petition added.

On the other hand, PTI on Tuesday filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) the government’s political cases against PTI chief Imran Khan which were putting his life in danger.

The plea was filed under Article 199 of the Constitution.

The petition has sought to stop the abundance of cases, filed on political grounds, to protect the fundamental rights of the former prime minister.

The plea has sought fool-proof security for the PTI chief and strict action against those responsible for failure to ensure a peaceful environment during his appearances in courts.
