Imran Khan to lead PTI election rally in Lahore tomorrow

• He said PTI worker Zili Shah was brutally tortured to death.
• PTI chief said unidentified person were involved in actions against PTI.
• He demanded to LHC to form a judicial commission to probe Shah’s case.

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan said PTI worker Zili Shah was brutally tortured to death by the police and FIR was registered against him.

Addressing a press conference, Imran Khan said 60 torture marks were found on Zili Shah’s body but unfortunately lodged FIR against him. He said Zili Shah was a special child and he was tortured to death due to his affiliation with PTI.

He said the key responsibility of the police is to protect the lives and property of the citizens but the police are being used against PTI by the Caretaker Government Punjab.

PTI chief said PTI leader Shahbaz Gill was arrested and tortured in a naked condition after a statement. He said hidden hands and an unidentified person were involved in the torture and murder of PTI worker.

Imran Khan said he as former prime minister is unable to register FIR against attackers of Wazirabad and later Caretaker Chief Minister has changed Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

He said the law of jungle prevailed across the country where powerful individuals above the law and the poor are unable to get justice. He said action should be taken against police officers who were involved in violence against PTI workers and murdered Zili Shah.

The former prime minister said PML-N has launched the anti-judiciary campaign and Maryam Nawaz is targeting senior judges in public gatherings on daily basis.

Imran Khan said “I have decided to fight for real freedom and rule of law in the country till the last drop of blood. ”

He demanded to the Lahore High Court (LHC) to form a judicial commission to probe Zili Shah’s torture to death case. He said the Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP) should get resignations from Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab, IG Punjab, and other officers.
