
Punjab CTD nabs seven terrorists in multiples IBOs
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab on Thursday arrested seven terrorists of banned outfits during multiple Intelligence Based Operations across the province.
CTD spokesperson stated that raids were carried out in Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Gujranwala.
Added that the terrorists belong to the outlawed Al-Qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
While, explosive material, detonators, mobile phones, weapons cash were recovered from their hideouts.
The terrorists were identified as Abrarul Haq, Abdul Rehman, Umair, Imran, Ashfaq, Aywab, and Muawiya.
The investigation has been launched after the registration of cases against the terrorists.
Besides, authorities arrested 18 suspects during 139 combing operations in Punjab this week.
As many as 8,523 people were questioned in the combing operations, the CTD official said.
CTD is working towards the goal of a safer Punjab and is determined to root out the scourge of terrorism.
