ANF arrest 10, seizes above 350 kg drugs in six operations

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in their six successful operations across the country, arrested 10 suspects and a total of 397 kilograms of drugs.

Among the arrested individuals were four residents of Peshawar, including two women from Charsadda, who were taken into custody near the M1 Motorway in Islamabad.

The ANF spokesperson reported that 1 kilogram and 200 grams of heroin, as well as 1 kilogram and 500 grams of ice, were confiscated from their possession.

In another operation near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Sheikhupura, a significant quantity of drugs was found concealed in secret compartments within a vehicle.

This discovery led to the recovery of 20 kilograms and 400 grams of opium and 3 kilograms and 600 grams of hashish. The accused in this case was a resident of Lower Dir.

At Sialkot Airport, 900 grams of heroin were recovered from an individual who was attempting to leave for Dubai on flight number FZ-332. This person was identified as a resident of North Waziristan.

In a separate operation, a large amount of hashish was found concealed in a truck loaded with apples during an operation in Windar. A total of 360 kilograms of hashish hidden within apple crates were seized.

Additionally, two residents of Pishin confessed to smuggling drugs to Karachi, shedding light on the extent of the drug trade.

In another operation, 9 kilograms of hashish destined for smuggling were discovered in an uninhabited area of Zakhakhel in Khyber.

All the accused individuals are now facing legal action under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations are underway.

The ANF continues its determined efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect communities from the harmful effects of illegal narcotics.
