Funeral prayers of troops martyred in Khyber clash offered

RAWALPINDI: Funeral prayers of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, Naik Khushdil Khan, Naik Rafique Khan and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir were offered in Peshawar Garrison.

They had embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly against terrorists in an Intelligence Based Operation in general area Tirah in Khyber District.

According to the military’s media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Corps Commander Peshawar and a large number of serving officers and soldiers, civil officials and general public attended the funeral.

On November 6, a Lieutenant Colonel and three soldiers were martyred and three terrorists were killed whereas three others were injured in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in area of Tirah, Khyber District on reported presence of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.

It said that security forces conducted the operation in the area. The troops led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which three terrorists were sent to hell, while three terrorists got injured.
