In a weekly briefing to journalists, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch addressed a range of crucial issues concerning Pakistan’s stance on regional and international matters.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated the week began with a somber note as reports surfaced of a massacre in Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly orchestrated by Dogra Raj and RSS.
Added, expressing deep concern; Pakistan demands justice for the victims and urges India to respect the inalienable right of self-determination for Kashmiris.
Baloch also strongly condemned the tragic events unfolding in Gaza, calling on the United Nations Security Council to take decisive steps towards peace.
She emphasized the need for Israel, as an occupying power, to adhere to the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Shifting focus, the spokesperson highlighted the recent two-day visit of the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar to Uzbekistan, emphasizing diplomatic engagements.
Addressing the sensitive issue of illegal Afghan immigrants, Zehra Baloch said that Pakistan assured that it was in communication with the US and related countries to ensure a lawful resolution.
She added that Pakistan remains committed to freedom of religion, protection of minorities, and support for ceasefires both in Gaza and with India.
