The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad on Wednesday rejected the acquittal plea of PTI Chairman Imran khan in the female judge threatening case.

The court had reserved its verdict on the acquittal plea of PTI Chairman Imran khan in the female judge threatening case.

The case, presided over by Civil Judge Muhammad Murid Abbas, witnessed the completion of arguments from both parties regarding PTI chairman’s plea for acquittal.

Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi, representing the prosecution, and Imran Khan’s lawyer Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry were present during the court session.

The arguments from the prosecution side in the case of threatening the female judge have been concluded, and PTI chairman’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, had also completed presenting his arguments in the previous hearing.

The court’s decision on the plea for acquittal is now awaited in this significant legal matter.

On March 13, a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued for PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan, after he failed to appear in courts in cases linked threatening a woman additional district and sessions judge.
