Two Pakistan’s cities top list in pollution today

• Karachi and Lahore are ahead of all other cities in the world.

 Karachi and Lahore were ahead of all other cities in the world in terms of air pollution on Saturday, as Bol News reported.

The air quality of the City of Light is extremely unhealthy, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 250, and it ranks first among the most polluted cities.

According to a global website, Lahore is the second most polluted city in the world, where the number of particulate meters is 221, while the air is also harmful to health.

Apart from this, smog continues in Lahore and its surroundings, and all the measures taken by the government have failed.

In the list of the most polluted cities in the world, the Indian city of Mumbai is in third place, and Kolkata is in fourth place.

Earlier, on November 10, 2023 , in the list of the most polluted cities in the world, Karachi ranks third.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Karachi was recorded at 198, making it hazardous for the health of residents.

Top on the list is Calcutta and Dhaka, ranking first and second respectively.

An AQI value of 50 or below represents good air quality, while an AQI value over 300 represents hazardous air quality.

On October 27, the air quality index (AQI) in Canal View Lahore was recorded at 177.
