Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League (AML) Pakistan chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed’s condition deteriorated in Adiala Jail, Bol News reported.
The former Interior Minister was arrested by the police on January 16 for being out on bail in May 9 incidents. A case has been registered against him for attacking the office of a sensitive institution.
However, the court sent Sheikh Rasheed on judicial remand to Adiala, where his condition worsened on Thursday morning, and he was shifted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology.
According to sources, Sheikh Rasheed will undergo a complete physical examination at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology, and the decision was taken to transfer him to jail only after the advice of the doctors.
Earlier, former federal minister interior minister Sheikh Rasheed was shifted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) due to chest pain.
According to details, AML chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed’s condition suddenly fell ill, after which he was shifted to a hospital.
Sources further claim that Sheik Rasheed underwent a preliminary medical examination in the emergency department of the hospital and an ECG was done, after which he was admitted to the hospital due to a heart problem.
It should be noted that the former Interior Minister, Sheikh Rasheed, came to the public after remaining in hiding for several days.
