The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts increased rainfall and snowfall in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next two days.

A westerly wave is impacting the western and upper regions of Pakistan, expected to persist in the upper parts in the coming days.

Consequently, cold weather is anticipated across most districts of the province, with upper districts experiencing very cold and cloudy conditions on Monday evening/night, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Rainfall accompanied by snowfall in mountainous areas is expected in various districts, potentially affecting transportation on January 30-31.

Tourists are advised to exercise caution. Peshawar’s minimum temperature is forecasted to range between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 07-09 C on Wednesday.

In the last 24 hours, cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed over most parts of the province, with scattered rains reported in some areas.

Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped 06 C below freezing.

In Peshawar, minimum temperature was recorded at 04 C.

Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 78 percent.
