Islamabad: District and Sessions Court canceled the arrest warrant of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed in the case of threatening a journalist.

The case of threatening a journalist against PTI leader Senator Faisal Javed was heard in the District and Sessions Court, where Faisal Javed appeared in the court of Civil Judge Qudratullah along with his lawyer Sardar Masroof.

Faisal Javed surrendered himself before the court, on which the court canceled his arrest warrant.

However, the court adjourned the further hearing till March 13 while seeking records of the case.

It should be noted that the court had issued an arrest warrant for Faisal Javed, a case was registered against him in Bani Gala police station in 2022.

Earlier, Peshawar High Court (PHC) has granted transit bail to PTI leader Faisal Javed khan.

PHC chief Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan heard Senator Faisal Javed’s bail application.

The court granted bail to Faisal Javed on a bond of 100,000 rupees and ordered Faisal Javed to appear before the concerned court.

After getting bail from the court, Faisal Javed said in a media interview that bail has been obtained from the Peshawar High Court, everyone is going through a difficult time, I pray that all the oppressed come back to their homes.
