Rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall are forecasted in popular tourist destinations like Murree and Nathia Gali in Pakistan from February 29 to March 03 (Thursday-Sunday).

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave is expected to approach western parts of Pakistan on February 29, extending to most parts of the country by March 01 and persisting until March 02.

Due to this weather system, heavy rainfall and snowfall are anticipated in various areas including Murree, Nathia Gali, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and others during the specified period.

The heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding in hill torrents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Murree, and Galyat on March 01-02. Additionally, road closures are possible in several regions due to heavy rain/snowfall, potentially impacting travel in areas like Murree, Naran, Kaghan, and others on March 01-02. Landslides are also a concern in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
