Islamabad: The date of February 26 to 28 has been suggested for convening the session of the National Assembly.

A summary regarding the date of convening the session of the National Assembly has been sent to the president.

The notification of the successful candidates for the three National Assembly seats from Islamabad has been restored.

The notification of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) candidates Anjum Aqeel, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and Raja Khurram have been issued, the Election Commission has rejected the applications for election excuses.

On the other hand, the session of the Sindh Assembly has been summoned at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 24th, for the swearing-in of the recently elected MPAs.

This decision came following Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori’s approval of the recommendation made by Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Maqbool Baqar.

The upcoming session marks the inauguration of the Sindh Assembly, where the newly elected representatives will take their oaths.

Notably, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) secured a significant victory by winning 84 general seats in the Sindh Assembly, marking a historic milestone. Including reserved seats for women and minorities, the PPP’s total representation in the assembly will exceed 100 seats for the first time
