The Meteorological Department has issued an updated weather forecast, predicting the likelihood of more rainfall across different parts of Pakistan. The forecast covers the period from February 29 to March 2 and warns of gusty winds, thunderstorms, and continuous rainfall in many areas.

According to the department, a series of western disturbances are expected to enter Pakistan’s western regions starting from February 29. These disturbances are likely to bring rainfall to various areas of Balochistan between February 29 and March 1.

From February 29 to March 3, several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Haripur, Kohistan, Kark, Peshawar, Charsadda, and Nowshera, may experience rain.

The forecast also suggests rain in cities like Lucky Marwat, Mardan, Islamabad, Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir during this period.

Between February 29 and March 1, most districts of Sindh are expected to receive rainfall. Thunderstorms and rain are likely in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Karachi, Thatta, Badin, and Khairpur.

Additionally, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas could experience rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning during this weather event.
