Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has said on the suspension of mobile service on the day of the general elections that the suspension of mobile phones seems to be an abnormal situation.

The PML-N leader said that this is an election process, it is a normal day, it seems that there is an abnormal situation due to mobile phone shutdown.

He said that the arrangements for the election are good and they have voted peacefully, everyone has their polling agents, everyone knows what happened before the polling.

The veteran politician added that February 8 has come, election are being held after too much difficulties , there was a lot of ambiguity before, level playing field was not given, yet people in the third world get the opportunity to vote.

Previously, Mushahid Hussain is elected Vice President of the IPU Human Rights Body (Geneva, January 28): Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Asia’s representative on the Inter Parliamentary Union’s Committee on Human Rights for Parliamentarians (CHRP), was overwhelmingly elected Vice President of the Committee during its meeting in Geneva.

Ms Millie Odhiambo of Kenya was elected President. Senator Mushahid Hussain is the first Pakistani legislator to be elected to a high-level position in a crucial body of the International Parliamentary Union, a global organization that represents the world’s parliaments.
