HEC Mandates Online Degree Attestation for Overseas Education and Employment.

To streamline the process for Pakistani citizens planning to study or work abroad, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has introduced an online system for degree attestation.

Applicants can now easily apply for attestation via the HEC website link: https://eservices.hec.gov.pk.

Upon completing the online application, applicants must submit their documents for initial examination. Successful applicants will receive notifications via SMS and email from HEC, prompting them to either schedule a walk-in appointment (for urgent cases) or send their documents through courier.

HEC offers two attestation modes:

  1. Walk-in Mode (Urgent Applications Only): Applicants can personally submit their documents or authorize someone to do so on their behalf.
  2. Authorized Courier Service Mode (Normal Applications): Both local and overseas applicants can utilize designated courier services for document attestation, with the courier company handling the entire process from attestation to document return.

HEC Introduces Online Payment System for Degree Attestation Fees as of February 2024:

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has implemented an online payment system for degree attestation fees through 1-link, starting from August 5th, 2023. Applicants are required to make the payment online via 1-link and confirm the transaction in their profile.

For each original document, the attestation fee is Rs1000, while for each photocopy, it is Rs700.

Updated Fees for Urgent Degree Attestation Service by HEC in February 2024:

Effective immediately, the urgent attestation service fee is Rs3,000 per application, in addition to the standard attestation fee. This means that applicants will separately pay Rs1000 for attesting each original document and Rs700 for each photocopy.
