The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts primarily cold and dry conditions for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the majority of Pakistan on Friday evening/night and over the weekend.
According to the synoptic situation, most parts of Pakistan are under the influence of continental air. Under these circumstances, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the majority of Pakistan are expected to experience mainly cold and dry weather on Friday evening/night and the following two days. The upper regions of the country are expected to have freezing conditions during this period.
The minimum temperatures in Islamabad are likely to be between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 09-11 C on Sunday. In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperatures are expected to be between 09-11 C on Saturday and 10-12 C on Sunday.
In the past 24 hours, the twin cities and most parts of the country have experienced cold and dry weather. Kalam was the coldest place in the country, with temperatures dropping to 07 C below freezing.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C, with a relative humidity of 78 per cent in the morning. In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 09 C, with a relative humidity of 68 per cent in the morning.
