The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain, wind, and thunderstorms with light snowfall over the hills for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday and Friday.

According to the current synoptic situation, most parts of Pakistan are experiencing continental air. A weak westerly wave is expected to enter the upper regions of the country on Thursday evening or night, progressing eastward on Friday.

In light of these conditions, isolated areas in Chitral, Dir, and Swat may experience light rain, wind, and thunderstorms with light snowfall over the hills on Wednesday night.

On Thursday and Friday, rain with wind, thunderstorms, and light snowfall over the hills are anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Bajaur, Karak, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Kurram, Kohat, Waziristan, and Bannu. Cloudy weather is expected elsewhere in the province.

Peshawar’s minimum temperatures are expected to range between 11-13 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 12-14 C on Friday.

In the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of the province. The maximum temperature recorded in Peshawar was 33 C, with relative humidity during the evening recorded at 73 percent.
