Saudi Arabia aims to establish a new university in Pakistan to educate workers for its upcoming projects. The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development is proposing a special quota for Pakistani workers for NEOM and other Saudi projects.
This step enhances the partnership between both nations as they work to enhance their economies. Focusing on training Pakistani workers to fulfill Saudi Arabia’s increasing job market demands is a priority.
The Ministry also seeks cooperation between the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad, the Consulate General in Karachi, and Pakistani authorities to facilitate the entry of new job agencies into the Saudi market.
The high-level delegation’s visit aims to align Pakistan’s workforce with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan, which aims to decrease reliance on oil and enhance sectors such as healthcare, education, and tourism.
