In a significant development, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has transformed its service delivery for urgent Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), making it quicker and more accessible to citizens at no extra cost.
In the past, the waiting period for Urgent Identity Cards extended to 23 days, which was inconvenient for applicants. However, NADRA has now reduced this processing time to an impressive 15 days, ensuring faster issuance of crucial ID cards. The announcement was made directly by a NADRA official, indicating positive changes for individuals requiring quick ID card services. With the new system, applicants can submit urgent requests at any NADRA office and receive their ID cards within the shortened 15-day period.
This improvement is in line with NADRA’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction in ID card processing. In addition to the reduced processing time, NADRA has also revised its fee structure. Regular ID cards now cost Rs750, while urgent ID cards carry a fee of Rs1500. For those choosing executive ID cards, the fee is Rs2500.
These transparent fees mirror the quality of services provided and ensure a seamless application process for all applicants. By streamlining operations and introducing faster processing times, NADRA aims to modernize its service delivery and provide a more convenient experience for citizens obtaining CNICs.
This initiative not only signifies a major milestone in NADRA’s service improvements but also underscores its commitment to efficiently and transparently meeting the changing needs of Pakistan’s population.
