The Punjab government has initiated the first phase of the Chief Minister Youth Initiative, aiming to provide 20,000 bikes to degree college and university students.

This scheme offers 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 electric bikes on interest-free plans, with the Punjab government subsidizing Rs 1 billion for interest-free bikes.

Students interested in availing themselves of this opportunity must apply by April 29 through the provided link.

The financing limit for electric bikes is up to Rs 250,000, while for petrol bikes, it is up to Rs 150,000. Any student opting for a bike exceeding these prices must pay the additional cost upfront to the Bank of Punjab (BOP).

The government will not cover prices higher than those specified, and bikes must be selected from the available options on the web portal.

This initiative reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to empowering youth by providing them with transportation options for their educational pursuits.

By offering a diverse range of bikes and e-bikes, the government aims to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of students across the province.

The Chief Minister Youth Initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote education and facilitate access to opportunities for youth in Punjab.

Through schemes like this, the government seeks to support students in their academic endeavors and contribute to their overall development and well-being.
