Cement Prices Continue to Drop in Pakistan – Check Rates
Last week, there was a further decrease in the retail prices of cement across the country. According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price per sack of cement in northern cities stood at Rs 1225 in the week ending May 2, marking a 0.17% decline from the previous week’s average of Rs 1227.
Similarly, in southern cities, the average retail price per sack on May 2 was Rs 1200, down by 0.18% from the previous week’s average of Rs 1202.
Specifically, in Islamabad, the average retail price per sack was Rs 1210, while in Rawalpindi, it was Rs 1199. Other cities recorded varying prices, with Lahore at Rs 1280, Gujranwala at Rs 1250, and Faisalabad at Rs 1240, among others.
In Karachi, the average retail price per sack was Rs 1168, while in Hyderabad, it was Rs 1180.
Sukkur recorded a higher price of Rs 1300 per sack, while Quetta saw an average of Rs 1200, and Khuzdar had an average retail price of Rs 1177 per sack.
These fluctuations in cement prices across different regions highlight the dynamic nature of the market, impacting both consumers and construction projects nationwide.
