Cement sales decline by 14.79% in January

The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association reported that overall cement sales experienced a 14.79 percent decline in January 2024 compared to the same period last year.

According to statistics from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, the total cement sales for January 2024 reached 3.414 million tons, a decrease from 4.006 million tons in January 2023.

The local market saw a significant drop, with domestic sales in January 2024 at 2.967 million tons, down by 17.30% from the 3.588 million tons sold in January 2023. Despite this overall decline, there was a positive trend in the export sector.

In January 2024, cement exports reached 446,595 tons, showing a 6.82% increase from the 418,067 tons exported in January of the previous year.
