Six robbers were gunned down by the Lahore police, after an attempt of robbery at a residence in Iqbal Town was foiled on Saturday.
The incident unfolded when the police responded to a distress call at Dr. Ibad’s residence, where the robbers had entered.
A girl on the roof noticed the intrusion and raised an alarm, prompting a neighbor to contact the police helpline (15).
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) teams, along with local police, swiftly arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the house being targeted by robbers.
Upon the arrival of the police party, the robbers initiated gunfire, leading to a 45-minute exchange of fire between the two groups.
In the retaliatory firing, all six robbers were killed, and the hostages, who were held in the house, were safely rescued.
The slain robbers were identified as Imran, Chand, Ali, Waseem, Mohsin, and Ali Raza, according to police officials.
The prompt response from law enforcement ensured the successful resolution of the situation and the protection of the residents.
