According to DG ISPR, 274 fighters from the Afghan Taliban were killed and over 400 were wounded in retaliatory strikes conducted by Pakistani forces. The operation reportedly destroyed several Taliban military headquarters, along with tanks, artillery units, and check posts.
Officials said Afghan forces began unprovoked firing at multiple border points, prompting a large-scale response from Pakistan’s security forces. The Pakistan Air Force conducted precise airstrikes across Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar, destroying major ammunition depots, corps and brigade headquarters, and logistics bases, delivering a significant blow to Taliban operational capabilities.
Ground forces executed coordinated counterattacks in multiple border sectors, including Angur Ada, Wali Khan, Bajaur, Tirah, Mohmand, Kurram, and Chitral. Taliban check posts were systematically neutralized, with several positions completely destroyed, and insurgents forced to abandon occupied sites.
Attempts by Taliban to deploy quadcopter drones against Pakistani positions were effectively thwarted, while UAVs and artillery strikes were employed to dismantle remaining strongholds.
Following their setbacks, Taliban forces targeted civilian areas in Bajaur, injuring five individuals, including three women, and damaging a local mosque.
