Sindh govt expands pink bus service: new routes and fare

The Sindh government has introduced two new routes for the Pink Bus Service, exclusively for women, aimed at improving public transportation.

Female passengers will enjoy complimentary rides for two months to mark the expansion.

New Routes

• Route R-3: Powerhouse Chowrangi in North Karachi to Nasir Jump in Korangi
• Route R-9: Gulshan-e-Hadeed to Tower

Existing Routes

• Route 1: Model Colony to Tower
• Route 2: North Karachi to Korangi
• Route 10: Numaish Chowrangi to Sea View Beach

Operating Hours

• 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily
• Frequency: One bus every 20 minutes during peak hours, one bus per hour outside peak times.

Fare

• Minimum fare: PKR 50 per person for any route.

The expansion aims to offer safe and convenient transportation for women in Karachi. With 10 new buses added, the service is expected to benefit a significant number of female commuters.
