She stated, “My family and I were profoundly grieved to hear the news of the sudden and unfortunate passing of former Prime Minister,” in a statement released by the Buckingham Palace.

The shooting death of former prime minister Shinzo Abe, the longest-serving leader in modern Japanese history, on Friday while he was running for a parliamentary seat shocked a nation where weapons are strictly regulated and political violence is practically unimaginable.
Around five and a half hours after the shooting in the city of Nara, Abe, 67, was declared dead. Police detained a 41-year-old guy after discovering a handmade gun in his possession.
Earlier, she said that she expects the people around her to follow a few rules as she has been in power for the longest period of time in history.
There are a number of rules that the royal family must follow, as well as guidelines for how the palace personnel and the Queen herself should act.
What she disapproves of when it comes to mealtimes with her family and great-grandchildren has been revealed by a royal expert.
Gyles Brandreth praised Her Majesty on ITV’s This Morning, declaring: “The Queen is my role model in all things.”
He added: “One of the things she won’t allow at the table with her grandchildren and indeed her great-grandchildren is mobile phones at mealtimes.
“But you do have to sit at the table nicely and you certainly mustn’t eat with your mouth open!”
