President Joe Biden “intends to greet the Prince and Princess of Wales when he is in Boston,” according to the White House press secretary.

She stated that the meeting’s specifics are still being worked out.

Royal supporters who expressed concern that Meghan and Harry would overshadow Kate and William’s journey to the US were relieved by the announcement.

Beginning their first trip to the United States in eight years is Prince William and wife Kate.

His godmother left the royal household after repeatedly questioning a Black British woman where she was “really” from, and a new racism controversy hangs over the visit.

As they began their three-day trip focusing on climate change, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Boston mayor Michelle Wu and governor-elect Maura Healey at city hall. They then sat courtside at a Boston Celtics versus Miami Heat NBA game.

The start of the tour, which follows accusations of racism from William’s brother Harry and his mixed-race sister-in-law Meghan, was overshadowed by Susan Hussey, one of William’s six godmothers, 83, resigning and issuing an apology.

Racism has no place in our society, a royal couple spokeswoman told Boston-area media.
