Queen Elizabeth II became victim of ‘wardrobe malfunction’ in 2010
Queen Elizabeth II, popularly regarded as the “style queen,” had a cute wardrobe malfunction in 2010 that helped to make her a remarkably relatable monarch.
The late Queen, who wowed in exquisite attire for her entire 70-year reign, experienced a party mistake in 2010 that was quite un-royal.
On June 2, 2010, the monarch attended the celebration for the former Greek King Constantine II’s 70th birthday. She wore a floor-length, pastel blue gown. She enhanced her appearance by donning a striking diamond necklace, a bracelet with diamond clusters, a watch, and diamond earrings.
The Queen did, however, suffer from a little fashion blunder that was difficult to overlook. There were some pretty obvious stains down one side of the dress, and one area of the fabric had a very slight blackening.
It was exceedingly uncommon to see the Queen, who was always flawlessly dressed. Even with a coffee stain on her dress, she was graceful in that sweet moment.
The stain, according to the Daily Mail at the time, was not the Queen’s fault. Actually, it was the result of a spilled that someone else unintentionally produced. Elizabeth II continued to smile throughout the incident and remained her usual cool, unflappable self.
