King Charles asks support from Justin Welby in family matters
King Charles has requested the Archbishop of Canterbury to convince Prince Harry to attend his coronation.
The Prince of Wales is reportedly opposed to King Charles’ proposal to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because he believes his younger brother will steal the show.
According to the story, Prince William is worried that Harry would exploit the occasion to stage a “stunt” that will overshadow the occasion.
The story cited anonymous sources when it said that the monarch had asked Justin Welby to broker a deal for his kids to attend his coronation in May.
According to the article, if Prince Harry participates in the agreement and attends the event, his and his wife’s royal titles won’t be revoked.
It further mentioned that Prince Harry might be assured a prominent seat at the Abbey.
According to the publication, negotiations with Harry are highly challenging since the royal ‘family is spilt and all the indications are that Harry is being advised to agree to nothing at this stage and play it long right up to the last minute, which is making negotiations with him very difficult.
According to the story, the King believes that Harry and Meghan’s absence would be a much greater distraction than their attendance.
