On Sunday night, the BAFTA Film Awards 2023 were held at London’s Royal Festival Hall. The British royal family usually attends the celebrity event. As a result, Kate Middleton’s appearance on the red carpet as Princess of Wales was one to remember. She and her husband, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, attended the event in matching black and white outfits. While William wore a white shirt, black bowtie, and a black tuxedo, Kate was the center of attention for numerous reasons.

For her evening ensemble, the Princess chose Alexander McQueen, a British designer who has long been her favorite. Her pristine white gown had a cape sleeve and a single shoulder with a bow at the nape. It gave the shade an almost angelic appearance due to the banded waist and beautiful flow provided by the pleats. Kate completed the ensemble by wearing high-heeled black gloves and a clutch. Her muted look and subtle beauty choices for the evening were enhanced by the gold floral earrings she wore from Zara, which matched the colors of her bag.

However, this dress wasn’t the first time we had seen it. Kate wore the exact same Alexander McQueen for the first time in 2019 for the BAFTA Film Awards. Then, it had a frothy floral shoulder detail that was later repurposed into a more modern cape sleeve. Kate wore the white gown for the first time with an updo hairstyle, pearl teardrop earrings, and a white clutch.
