Meghan Markle ‘started burning bridges first’ says experts
Meghan Markle was the one who lit the match and is now...
Many facets of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new life in America are lampooned in the contentious South Park episode making fun of them.
Yet in one more subtly cruel joke, the show makes reference to a feud between Meghan and Michelle Obama, a former first lady of the United States.
The fictional Prince and Princess of Canada were used in the episode in place of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were not mentioned by name.
The fictitious princess’s interests were stated as yoga, calligraphy, cooking, writing, lifestyle, advocacy, acting, blogging, and feminism on her profile.
Although Harry’s relationship with former president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle began long before he married Meghan, it is Harry who has the lengthier relationship with the Obamas.
In 2013 and 2015, he paid them a visit while they were residing in the White House, and in 2016, he welcomed them to Kensington Palace as part of a trip to the UK with the current Prince and Princess of Wales.
They are claimed to have become close because of Harry’s Invictus Games, an athletic competition for injured service members.
Also, Harry convinced the Queen to appear in a humorous film that was made to promote the games with the Obamas.
A year later, Harry joined Michelle on a trip to a Chicago school and spoke with Obama while serving as a guest editor for the Today show on BBC Radio 4. The two discussed the perils of social media throughout the interview.
