Disgraced Prince Andrew has stated that he ‘will not leave’ his grace and favour home on the Windsor estate because the King wants to kick him out.

The Duke of York has gone so far as to tell friends that there is ‘no chance’ he will leave the massive 30-bedroom Royal Lodge he has spent millions of his own money renovating.

The royal’s eye-watering annual allowance of £250,000 is set to be slashed in April after the King warned his family to ‘tighten their belts’ due to impending budget cuts, leaving Andrew reportedly concerned about his ability to pay his bills.

The plush Royal Lodge dates from the mid-seventeenth century and served as The Queen Mother’s Windsor residence from 1952 until her death there in 2002, at the age of 101. Since 2004, it has served as the duke and his family’s official country residence.

The sprawling estate has a swimming pool, 98 acres of land, and is in need of extensive repairs.

Andrew signed a 75-year lease for the property in 2003, paying £250 per week for the home he shares with his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York.

However, he is said to have spent more than £7.5 million on renovations in recent years.

According to sources, the Duke has assured his own family that he is financially secure and believes the King will not evict him.

Andrew, 63, was forced to resign from royal duties in 2019 due to allegations of sex abuse by Virginia Giuffre, one of billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, which he denies.

However, he is said to have received a sizable inheritance from the Queen’s will following her death last September.
