Meghan Markle and Prince Harry rushed into crunch talks with King Charles after he told them to vacate Frogmore Cottage within weeks.

The Sussexes were originally given just several weeks to pack up their belongings from their UK home.

However, following negotiations, it was agreed that they would have until after the Coronation to leave.

Just one day after the Duke of Sussex’s autobiography was released, Meghan and Prince Harry were told they would have to leave the property.

Spare, Harry’s memoir, contained numerous jabs at senior members of the Royal Family, including King Charles’ wife Camilla.

It is believed that the Duke of Sussex publicly criticizing his stepmother crossed a line for the King.

The Sussexes’ spokesperson confirmed the couple had been asked to leave their UK residence, saying, “We can confirm The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.”

Frogmore Cottage has been offered to King Charles’s brother, Prince Andrew, who currently resides in the larger Royal Lodge mansion.

A source told The Sun said: “Charles wanted to start after his Coronation with the issues of Harry and Meghan and Andrew put to bed.

“The situation has dragged on far too long and he wanted to act decisively and quickly.”

The treatment of the Sussexes and Prince Andrew by King Charles is said to have splintered the Royal Family.

Camilla, Prince William, and the Princess of Wales are among the senior members of the monarchy who support the King’s decision.

The Frogmore Cottage feud, on the other hand, has “appalled” non-working royals such as the Sussexes, Andrew and his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The Sussexes see their eviction from Frogmore Cottage as a “cruel final punishment” from King Charles, according to Omid Scobie, a royal commentator close to Meghan and Harry.

In 2018, Queen Elizabeth II gave Meghan and Harry Frogmore Cottage.

The Sussexes, on the other hand, have barely used the royal residence since moving to California from Canada.
