Meghan Markle appears to have made a poor first impression on actress Rebel Wilson.

The Pitch Perfect actress, 43, told a channel about her meeting with the Duchess of Sussex on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

They had been discussing the royal family during a commercial break and had briefly continued the conversation when they returned from the break.

Wilson described Markle as “standoffish” when she met the couple in Santa Barbara, California, while Harry was “lovely.”

“Meghan was not as cool. She wasn’t as naturally warm,” she told Cohen.

She did, however, mention that Markle’s aloof demeanour could be attributed to her Australian mother, Sue Bownds, asking “slightly rude” questions like, “‘Where are your kids?'”

And I’m like, ‘Mom, don’t ask her that,’” the actress added.

When Cohen asked if she knew the royals before the meeting, she said no, and they only had a “mutual friend.”

“Maybe that’s why she was like, ‘Who are these annoying convicts from Australia?’” joked the comedian.

Wilson praised Prince Harry, saying he “could not have been nicer.”
