In just its first week, Britney Spears’ memoir, titled “The Woman in Me,” has achieved a remarkable 1.1 million copies in sales in the United States.

The sales numbers include orders made in advance, physical book sales, electronic book sales, and audiobook sales. “The Woman in Me,” which came out on October 24th, has received good reviews from experts.

It tells the story of how the author became famous worldwide and the difficulties she faced along the way. These difficulties include a legal arrangement that gave her father control over many aspects of her life for a long time. The book also reveals that she had an abortion while dating Justin Timberlake over 20 years ago.

On the day of publication, Spears posted on Instagram that her book had become “the highest selling celebrity memoir in history.” It is not, so far, even the highest selling memoir of 2023.

On the day the book was released, Spears shared on Instagram that her memoir had become “the top-selling celebrity memoir ever.” However, it’s important to note that, as of now, it has not even become the best-selling memoir of 2023.

As per Circana, which monitors approximately 85% of printed book sales, “The Woman in Me” sold just under 418,000 copies in its first week. This number is much lower than the first-week sales figures for memoirs like former President Barack Obama’s “A Promised Land” and former first lady Michelle Obama’s “Becoming.”
