Abu Aleeha discusses his journey with Mahira Khan and Gohar Rasheed

Abu Aleeha, a Pakistani film director, has quickly channeled his passion for cinema into a successful career. In a remarkably short time, he has released several films, a feat unmatched by any other Pakistani director. His recent works include “Super Punjabi”, “Taxali Gate”, and “Javed Iqbal”. Currently, he is working on “Mango Jutt”, a highly anticipated film.

Abu Aleeha recently spoke with Ambreen Fatima and shared his on-set experiences. He expressed his belief that Gohar Rasheed is the most underrated actor in the country. He noted that Gohar spent a week working on the script to fully capture the character’s essence. Aleeha emphasized that if Gohar were in Bollywood, he would belong to a different league of actors.

He revealed that “he is working on a script alongside Sheheryar Muanwar. It is a thriller and he showed the script to Mahira Khan. The way Mahira gave him pointers within seconds shocked him at how good Mahira’s knowledge is about a good script. She is therefore one star he would love to work with one day.”
