Kubra Khan, one of the most intelligent actresses in the Pakistani drama industry, carefully selects her scripts and consistently chooses unique stories that leave a lasting impact on audiences. Her choices, including “Ali Allah Aur Insan”, “Sang e Mah”, “Sang e Mar Mar”, and “Jannat Se Aagay”, reflect her preference for meaningful narratives. However, she shifted her trajectory by taking on “Noor Jahan”, a drama that appeared to follow the typical saas-bahu storyline.

Kubra Khan is touring the UK for a Palestinian fundraising event, meeting fans and answering questions about her work. During these interactions, she shared what motivated her to sign on for “Noor Jahan”, a show that initially seemed like a common story. Kubra revealed that when she was first offered the role, she too believed *Noor Jahan* was a typical show, not something she would normally choose.

She said that “after reading the story, she knew that this script is not about saas-bahu toxicity but it talks about generational traumas and how Noor Bano was the one who finally changed these traumas. This made her sign up as Noor Bano and she finally did Noor Jahan.”
