Mexican-American professional wrestler Óscar Gutiérrez better known by his ring name Rey Mysterio is set to retire next week with a special ceremony.
Media reports said that WWE Legend Rey Mysterio, 45, will call time on his career with a special “retirement ceremony” on Monday night Raw. WWE superstar will draw curtains on his illustrious pro-wrestling career in the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw on June 1.
Regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers to represent WWE made his wrestling debut in Mexico in 1989. Oscar began his wrestling career at the age of 14 in his native Mexico.
He made his name at the World Championship Wrestling in 1995 where he popularised the Lucha libre fighting style. Mysterio is renowned for his acrobatic moves and iconic 619.

Over the course of his time with the company, he has achieved maintained success and is a two-time Intercontinental champion, two-time United States Champion, a four-time tag-team champion, a three-time Cruiserweight champion, and a three-time world champion.
He is also the champion of the 2006 Royal Rumble and has headlined several major WWE pay-per-view matches. He departed the company in 2015 and then wrestled on the independent circuit, before returning to WWE in 2018. Per WWE, Mysterio is one of the most popular and revered performers of all time. Mysterio even bewildered the WWE universe in 2006, when against the odds, he triumphed in the Royal Rumble.
