Zimbabwe confirms tour of Pakistan

The Government of Zimbabwe has allowed its national team to play a limited over series against Pakistan scheduled in October.

The teams will play three One-Day Internationals between Oct. 30 and Nov. 3, and another three Twenty20 International fixtures that have been scheduled in for Nov. 7-10.

The news was announced by the ZC on their official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon.

As per the schedule, the team is set to arrive in Pakistan on October 20.

The ODI series will be part of the inaugural ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

Zimbabwe has not played any international cricket since the novel coronavirus pandemic paused cricketing activities earlier this year whereas the Pakistan team has just returned after a month-long tour of England.

Preparations are underway by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to create a bio-secure environment. The matches are likely to be played behind closed doors.
