Persistent rainfall forced to call off the first T20 International of a four-match series between the West Indies and Pakistan as a no-result at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Wednesday.

After steady rainfall delayed the start of play by almost three hours and reduced the match to nine overs-per-side, West Indies totalled 85 for five batting first against Pakistan.

Captain Kieron Pollard top-scored with a victorious 22 while seamer Hasan Ali led the bowling effort for the visitors with figures of two for 11 off two overs.

Hasan Ali started the proceedings by bagging Evin Lewis on a change of pace delivery to reduce the hosts to 16-1 in 2.1 overs. The right arm pacer continued his form and completed 50 T20I wickets.

Mohammad Hafeez got in the action with the bowl after a long time and bagged Nicholas Pooran to cause the second dismissal to West Indies. Pooraan scored 13 runs with the help of two sixes.
