Manchester United is open to bids for five first-team players this summer after the club telling Erik ten Hag that he may increase his transfer budget by selling players.

The Dutchman joined the Red Devils on a three-year agreement last week, but he’ll have his job cut out for him at Old Trafford, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, and Jesse Lingard all poised to leave on free transfers when their contracts expire.

Ten Hag has already identified weak points in the squad and is looking to add a center-back, a right-back, at least one central midfielder, and a striker.

However, according to an international sports website, United has given the Dutchman a budget of £100-£150 million, which will not cover the signings he wants to make.

According to reports, the Dutchman is willing to sell five players to boost his transfer budget, with United’s board agreeing to release all additional monies from player sales.

As a result, United will consider bids for Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial, Alex Telles, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Ten Hag willing to let them all go.

United paid £36 million for Martial, while Aaron Wan-transfer Bissaka’s from Crystal Palace could cost up to £50 million depending on stipulations in his contract.

Those are the two most contentious exits from the group, but Bailly, Jones, and Telles all want to play in the first team.
